I have very large hydrangeas. During summer, the flowers decay and sag from the extreme weight. Should I prune them even though they are blossoming?

Hi Winnie
Thanks for your question. Yes I would prune a bit now to be able to appreciate the blooms and come winter cut the shrubs right back hard (about 30cm spikes) for a more compact display next year.
Happy gardening
