Hi Philippa,

The reason pink blooms often turn blue has to do with the PH levels in the soil. To keep blooms pink the soil needs to be more alkaline than acidic.

Adding lime to the soil will help heighten the PH levels in the soil. Add the lime sparingly and make sure it is well diluted as using too much can harm your plants.
