Hi

I have really bad asthma and hayfever. I understand that certain bee and bird pollinated trees and shrubs including camellias are ok in the garden. Do you please have any information on what shrubs, trees, climbers and underplanting that would be suitable to replace and fill in areas of our large garden. Pittisporum, pohutakawa, daisies, stong perfumes etc are known to aggravate allergies.

Thank you for your help as my husband has been heavily pruning and there are fences showing!

Regards

Patricia

Hi Patricia, Unfortunately I am not aware of any documents that advise on plants that I assume have “heavy Pollen” (travel only a short distance) some of it might also vary on the individual, some pollen has little effect on some people although they have a very bad effect on other people. Please let us know if you do find something on this. Thanks the Palmers Team
