What are the ideal conditions for growing yuccas? Are they suitable for a narrow strip to the SW of my property?

Yuccas can be grown outdoors in a well-drained soil and in full sun in temperate/sub tropical climates . They require bright light, and will do best with at least three hours sunshine a day.
