Hi,
My jacaranda tree has still not flowered, it has been planted for around 3-4 years, around seven feet but still slender, not coastal, full sun, protected from wind…it is somewhat frustrating as I drive along the street and see smaller, spindlier, council planted and neglected jacarandas flowering their little heads off. Any tips?
Thanks,
Lorna

Hi Lorna, It is still a little early maturity wise, but like to think it is not too far away, in regards to the ones along the street, sometimes when a plant gets neglected it will come into flower as a protection mechanism, am not suggesting you do this, as it doesn’t help with the long term health of the plant. It is better to keep the plant healthy get it to a good size then it will mature on its own time and reward you later. (am assuming this is grafted tree, not a seed raised one).
Thanks the Palmers Team
