At the advice session on lawn care at Palmers Miramar last weekend one comment was that if an area was just too shady to support a lawn there were other covers that could be planted instead. Could you please tell me what might be suitable for a small area at the bottom of my lawnthat is heavily shaded? I have tried three times to estblish a lawn, but it just goes back into moss.

Hi Chris, You could try Dicondra (mercury bay) or also lawn chamomile. A perennial you could also try an ajuga.
Thanks the Palmers Team
