Hi Pat, It depends a little on your soil type, If you have clay soil ensure you plant the plant a little higher than the existing soil. Dig a hole approx. 20cm in diameter than the pot size of the Lemon. What comes out of the hole mix in with some good garden mix or top soil and use this mixture as your planting mix. Give it a good water after planting and make sure if we have a dry spell you give it a good soak on a weekly basis for the next 3 months. Citrus benefit from a 3-4 monthly spray with Enspray oil then the next spray with free flow copper (certified organic) this way you have a healthy Citrus plant.
