We have a lemon tree at our bach in Kinloch (West of Taupo) that fruits prolifically every year. This year however I’ve noticed that the lemons are actually quite ‘dry’ inside and really firm. They look perfect on the outside, and are quite big! I’m sorry I don’t know what sort of lemon they are. Any advice as to how to get juicy lemons back?

Hi Robynne
We think this could be due to a lack of consistent soil moisture levels. Ensure there is only soil around the plant and not grass, this way the tree should be able to absorb water easier which should in turn result in juicier fruit.
Thanks, the Palmers team
