I know that sulfur is used to lower the pH in the soil. What is the application rate to lower by one notch etc?

PH is generaly lowered by the application of Aluminium Sulphate at rates of around 85gms/14 litres water per 4 square metre. This is a question that really can only be accurately answered by a laboritory test on your soil to determine a starting point, applications etc. You can do your own test using a ‘PH Test Kit’ and then trial increasing application rates with tests run in between to determine progress, but this is a guide only
