Why would my 4 year old clementine mandarin not fruit? Has minimal blossoms & a few fruit seems to set but soon drops off. Has had same treatment as another (2 yr old tree) which is fruiting well.

Hi Eileen, Try removing some of the new growth as it appears (often this new growth doesn’t have a lot of flowers) this will leave more room and energy for the plant to put into the remaining fruit, (in general after fruiting give the plant a reasonable prune then control the new growth when this appears).

Thanks the Palmers Team
