Hi,
I am looking into buying a Micheli Figo. It is to fill a hole in a hedge made up of existing michelia figos. The hedge is about 2m high. I want the hole to be filled as quickly as possible. At Palmers in Remuera there are Michelia figos which are short and bushy and some which are tall with a long, bare stem.
If I buy one of the taller plants with the bare stem will new buds grow from the stem to fill out the tree or am I better buying a small bushy plant and waiting for it to become tall and bushy.
Many thanks,
James

Hi James, . I would recommend to start with a well furnished plant. It is harder to get a skinny plant to become bushy, compared to a nice plant to become taller. Thanks the Palmers Team
