Mint is best planted in a pot to prevent it spreading into other areas of your garden. Coriander is most commonly grown in summer, but if you live in a warm area or can put it in a sunny sheltered pot it will grow well into winter. Eggplant thrive in the heat of summer and do best with very hot ‘feet’. Plant in a well prepared garden bed with plenty of garden compost mix and mulch with dark coloured material like slate stone to create extra heat at the base of the plant.
