Hi there,
I am renting at the moment so have limited options for planting out. I would like to plant some window boxes for colour but would also like to choose some bee friendly flowers and wildflowers.
I have wooden planter boxes and some pots to use.
What would you recommend?
Thanks in advance

Hi Karen
Thanks for your question. Renting certainly does not need to put a stop to your gardening efforts and it is great to read you are keen to plant some window boxes.
Planting varieties that have a low water requirement will be useful for you. Lavender is a bee favourite as is sage which you can let bloom instead of picking all of the fragrant leaves used in cooking. Corn flower gets quite tall (not sure if you had space to put something on a patio).
Happy gardening
