i have a trellis at the edge of my garden, the other side is on a paddock which often has cattle in it. Previously there was a montana clematis there, the cattle could munch it without any harmful effects. I would now like to replace the clematis with a blue potato vine but someone told me they could be toxic. Can you tell me if this is true?

What a lovely idea for a beautiful display and something tasty for the cows to munch! Yes blue potatoe vine can cause upset so best not to move to this.

Happy gardening
