Thanks for your question. It does sound like your rose is unhappy. Dead head the active rose blooms to give the plant a rest from flowering so it can heal itself. Don’t be afraid it give it a slightly heavier prune even though it is not the time to be doing so. This can help it recover from shock. In winter when dormant, you may wish to dig up the rose and check that it is not water logged in soil or sitting on a rocky surface so unable to grow or feed properly.
