Greetings
A few day’s ago I bought a gerbera plant from the warehouse. When i got home, i realised it was an ‘indoor’ gerbera. I’ve not heard of ‘indoor’ gerberas before and am asking whether or not it could be planted outside to become an ‘outdoor’ gerbera or is indoors a must?
thanks
Corinne

Hi Corinne
Your indoor gerbera can be planted outside but we would recommend planting it in a sheltered position. Indoor gerberas are grown in a softer nursery environment so are not as hardy as an outdoor variety, but this does not mean they won’t grow outside! Plant it in well drained soil and keep an eye on it to check it looks happy.
Thanks, the Palmers Team
