I have an espaliered apricot, I have been in the property for 12 months now and I suspect it is time for pruning but I can’t find any info specific to espaliered apricots. Is there anything specific I should know. It is now flowering and I live in Waimate ( South Canterbury).
Kind regards

Hi Christine
Thanks for your question. Pruning should be done before the end of flowering and at the end of Winter. I am sure now is the right time for you to undertake this in the southern region.
Prune any branches that are crossing over and if this is your second year then begin to train the side branches along a fenceline.
Happy gardening
