Good morning ,
Re Cycads.
When a large cycad pup has been separated from the mother plant and the leaves that are over a metre long go yellow from shock….
What to do ???? Is it the best thing to cut of all the slow dying leaves just leaving the cone so energy can go into making more leaves.
If this is done this time of year will the cone throw out new leaves from the centre in spring or will it take more time to recover.
I have 11 very healthy ones which seem dormant at this time of year.
Thanks for your help..

Hi Angie
Thanks for your question. Yes cut off the yellowing leaves to the while dormant and it should recover. It may take time.
Happy gardening!
