Our 2 mulberry trees must be over 5 years old now but they have not fruited yet. Is this normal?

Hi Kaye,
Mulberry trees usually take a couple of years to bear fruit, by 5 years however I would think that they should be producing something.
Make sure they are both getting plenty of nutrients and plenty of water through the growing season. No nutrients or lack of nutrients and water can sometimes cause trees not to fruit.
Add compost, sheep pellets or other organic material to the soil, mulch around the trees and water well at the fruiting time.
