Hello – are the berries from the Nandena poisonous?
We want to plant these at the family bach but we have lots of grandchildren.
We love the colour and self caring habit of these plants but want the little ones to be safe.

Hi Miriam, They are very Poisonous to animals (including birds) hence you most likely won’t see them eating them. They are not considered poisonous to humans, but can cause stomach pain if eaten. In general we recommend that berries of plants should not be eaten, but it is good to know what is in the garden in case someone has an allergic reaction.
Thanks the Palmers Team
