You mention in your piece about compost heaps that oak leaves should not be included as they take a long time to degrade.
I have a lot of oak leaves each autumn and would much appreciate your advice as to how I can make them disappear more quickly than they will if left to their own natural cycle.

Hi Leo, Best to run the lawn mower over them a couple of times so they are cut up as small as possible then it will be absorb into the soil.
