We have recently pulled out a overgrown bracken bush and have dug up as many roots as possible. The bracken grows back very quickly and seems to spread to new areas. We have sprayed the new shoots with round up and have also tried wood weed killer. Any suggestions on what else we could try?

Woody weed killer or amitrole should definitely kill it. However, it may take a couple of weeks after the spray application to show that its working, during which time it may grow a bit. If you’re in any doubt, you can spray again.
