Hi there
My large geranium has become half brown, from the inside out. Its become covered in white fly. Should I chop it right back and/or just treat the fly?

Hi Jen,
Yes, I would take all damaged material off your plant first. It is a good way to see what you are working with and it helps the plant if you get rid of the damaged leaves and stems.
Geraniums are surprisingly resilient so once you have trimmed back to where it is healthy, spray the plant with something like Enspray 99 oil which is a certified organic spray or if you had another insecticide in mind, by all means, use that.
I like to spray in the evenings so we don’t interfere with bee populations and it is less harsh on the plant.
After you have pruned and sprayed, your plant may benefit from some fertiliser around the base or a foliar feed.
