I have a peach tree we planted, only about 2 years old. Red Haven. It is growing well but shows signs of disease or an insect attack. The branches blacken and burst, mostly at the very tips but not exclusively so. Not all branches are affected. Some ooze the typical clearish gum. Sprayed with lime sulphur last year. Have yet to spray this year.
I have photos but can’t see how to upload here?
Any advice would be great thanks.

Hi Matt, This will be cicada damage, There’s not much you can do about this. You could do a bug band around the trunk or some people put some wire netting around the trunk that stops them from crawling up (not flying in) still do a good lime sulphur and free flow cooper spray.
Thanks the Palmers Team
