How can I tell whether it’s insects or slugs eating the leaves of my coleus and begonia plants. I have sprinkled them with derris dust and put slug pellets around.

Hi Isabel, If you keep an eye on the new leaves, if they are coming out with little holes, than a little caterpillar is in the growth tip, but the Derris dust should have taken care of this. If it is snail damage, that is normally on lower leaves, and if you have used snail bait you should see dead snail shells around.

Thanks the Palmers Team
