just wondering how to get rid of pine needles off our soil so that we can plant some nice plants in our garden nothing seems to grow and I was told it was because of the pine needles from the trees. We don’t want to cut the tree down.

Hi Diane
Yes your pine tree will be causing the soil to be out of balance for plants to grow successfully beneath. Your only way around this is to be vigilant with raking up the needles as they fall, weekly should be enough. Growing plants in movable pots could help you and when the needle falls are particularly bad, you would be best to move the plant pots away for that period.
Happy gardening
