Last weekend I purchased a large bag of garden soil for my outside plants that came in a green and white bag. This was to plant flowers i purchased form you too in my garden.
I was wondering if you could tell me if this is appropriate to use for inside pot plants too?
We are re-potting a plant that has outgrown it’s current pot and want to know if we are on the right track.

Hi Kirsty,

I see no reason why you can not use the same mix for inside plants as well. Most potting mixes will contain a controlled release fertiliser and some may also contain other goodies such as water crystals to keep your plants from drying out so much.

There are different types of potting mix you can get that are great for specific plants such as orchid mix which needs to be extremely free-draining or citrus mix that will have nutrients for boosting fruit production.

When repotting your plant make sure you water it in well. I love using liquid foliar feed once a fortnight for my indoor plants. I keep a spray bottle handy, It helps them stay nice and healthy 🙂
