My mother-in-law’s birthday is Christmas Day & I wanted to buy her a small pohutukawa tree that she could plant in her garden to bloom each year for her birthday. Could you advise me on where to locate these & what I may need to know about planting it so it will have the best start?
Kind regards,
Ahava

Hi Ahava, To get a Pohutakawa that flowers reliably around Christmas time you would need to get one that grows to about 4-5 metres over time. The dwarf one doesn’t really flower at all specifically at Christmas.
Thanks the Palmers Team
