I am trying to grow a Lilly pilly (Eugenia) hedge for privacy from the neighbour of which I have 6 shrubs planted. 3 out of the 6 have succumbed to psyllids and it is severely affecting their growth. It was planted about 5 months ago. What do you recommend to deal with these horrible pests?

Hi Leanne, You will find the ones that are under stress will be attached by insects like Phyllids more readily. Try keeping them healthy with a good slow release fertiliser like Novatec and foliar spray with an organic seaweed. Right know you can spray them with Confidor (probably twice) and give them a good prune this will encourage lots of new growth. Thanks the Palmers Team
