We have a pumpkin growing in a large pot but the pumpkin now seems to not really be growing any larger. I give it fertiliser (worm wee) and water on a regular basis. Where have I gone wrong?

Size is determined by fertiliser needs and water requirements. Even though ‘worm wee’ is great, its possible that it hasnt provided as much as the plant needed to produce large fruit, especially as it was growing in a pot, where the liquid fertiliser can just drain away before the plant has what it needs. Pumpkins also require a long, warm growing season of at least 14 weeks. Planting too late in the season can also affect size.
