We recently ripped out an old garden of scrappy plants and replaced them with native plants and river stones but we have a rogue Peace Lily that keeps sprouting in one area. Is there anyway we can kill it without having to dig it out? Is there anything we can spray on it that wont kill the surrounding plants – the shoots are sprouting about 50-60cm away from the nearest native plant.

Peace lily is usually an indoor plant, are you getting it confused with perhaps an Arum Lily? It is best to apply non-selective herbicide such as Glyphosate 360 or Yates Zero Rapid Weedkiller. It is best to dry and dig out the plant rhizome also if it is in fact an Arum lily. You need to be very careful when spraying, on a windless, calm day so not to spray on surrounding plants.
