Why is it that year after year my tomatoes rot on the vine before they are ripe?

Hi Selina, It is called bottom end rot, some see this as a Calcium deficiency, also uneven watering during the season can also cause this. Poor quality soil also has an effect. Suggest you grown a green crop (mustard oats) to improve soil quality use organic fertilisers to encourage worm growth, should give you better result next year.
Thanks the Palmers Team
