I bought my daughter a Peonie last December and it is looking fairly sad at the moment. When do I do something with the plant ie. trim and re-pot? She is going overseas soon and will be back in time for flowering so I would like it to be looking like its florishing!

Peonie like the cold to flower so planted in the ground is best. Plant it nice and deep and in the middle of winter (very soon) empty a 2L container of ice on the planted site once a week for 4 weeks.
