Hi, I have old raised sand pit, which could be a garden.
Would I have to remove the sand or could I put soil/mulch etc on top of the existing sand, I intend growing tomatoes, capsicum, etc.Sand currently 6 inches deep approx.

Hi Steve,
The easiest way is to gauge volume. You could use 1 part sand to 10 parts soil. Any more sand will make it hard for any plant to grow in. We would suggest you remove the sand then refill according to the above mixture (don’t forget to have holes in the bottom).
Thanks, the Palmers team
