My silverbeet leaves are covered in a white powdery substance.It washes off quite easy.Are they safe to eat,also ,what would be causing this ?
It sounds like Powdery Mildew, a fungal disease. Control it by spraying with Saprol or Fungus & Mildew Spray. You can always take a sample of it into your local Palmers store for a definite identification.
