How can I remove the black soot off my camellia hedge and prevent it from happening. I’ve moved into a home with mature garden and even the concrete path under the hedge is black …

Hi Mahalia, Black soot grows on the sweet secretion that insects leave behind. To dry out and over time remove the black soot spray with Free flow copper. (note the Free flow copper will dry up the black soot but it does take time for wind and rain the remove it from the leaves. To stay on top of the insects just spray with Enspray oil every 8 -10 weeks this will control most insects and hence the food source for the black soot.
Thanks the Palmers Team
