How do you protect the grass seed from sparrows?

Hi Joan, Most grass seed is coated with a bird repellent so birds might pick on it but then spit this out. It could be a problem if the seed has not been raked in far enough and a lot of seed is left exposed with repeated rain washing of the bird repellent coating. (it is pretty tricky to get grass seed growing at this time of the year (soil temperatures are just too cold to provide germination)
Thanks the Palmers Team
