We’re looking for a feature tree or bush to put in a small rock garden (size of garden is only 4m X 2m)

It’s on the hill in Hataitai so gets very strong winds.
In has to be an erect growing plant as the width of the garden is only 2 metres and there are carparks
either side. We don’t want the tree to stop cars from being able to open their doors.
We’re looking for somethImg that is no taller than 2.5 m.

We’d preferably like a flowering tree or bush.

Can you please send me some options.

Hi Charlie,

The exposure to strong winds will be an issue, sometimes looking around the adjoining properties will give you a good indication of what will survive, maybe a Camellia (lots of varieties grow slender and they can be trimmed if necessary.
Both our Plimmerton and Miramar stores will have other solutions as well, it is a lot easier for staff to show you some examples.

Thanks
