Hi there
I have had about 30 thuja pyramidalis plants and am growing them in black plastic bags with compost and potting mix. Around 1 and half year old now and around 40cm tall. They have started losing the rich green colour and going a shade of brown.. am wondering how come they have changed colour and growing slowly?
They are in full sun and raised from the ground so drainage is ok

Hi Anthony, They are not really container plants, but they should do ok if they get regular feeding and consistent water supply. As the roots take over the soil over time it becomes harder to look after them, as temperature changes become larger in pot with more roots and less soil. If you wan to keep them in containers you will need to consider going to a bigger pot.

Thanks the Palmers Team
