Pests and disease often attack when plants are under stress – particularly in summer months when there is minimal rain, so make sure that you keep them well watered and fertilised to keep them as healthy as possible. By blight, i’ve assumed you’re referring to fireblight – which can be controlled by Copper sprays. Other blights such as late blight can be controlled by Bravo. Passionvine hoppers are difficult to get rid of – but you can blast them off with a hose, or spray with with Mavrik – which is also a bee friendly product. Alternatively, you can use Natures Way Pyrethrum which is a natural insecticide derived from the flowers of a chrysanthemum species.
