Hi Margot, it is hard to identify a problem without a lot more information. It would be best to take some sample to a Palmers store, so they can have a look at the sample. It would also be helpful if you could take some photos of the hedge on your phone and bring those into store tool. Other things that would be helpful are: growing environment and or changes, potential root restriction, ongoing care provided over the years, soil type, fertiliser regime and pest /fungal control.
