We have 2 well established gardenia plants in an area that they now have to be removed. Can I put them into a large pot (after trimming back) or would it be better to just buy new young plants instead?

Hi Carol, This is a Tricky one as gardenia are not easy to transplant. Cut of at least half/if not more of the foliage, if you do it now it should work. They do ok in a pot as long as it is in good shade especially in the summer. (don’t use a pot that is too big) Give it a go nothing to loose, (no guarantees either!!)
Thanks the Palmers Team
