My vegetables like beetroot, cauliflowers, cabbages, carrots over the last few years
haven’t been sizing up. I plant my garden mid October and this year the beetroot at this
stage are still little. Potatoes, beans peas etc have been fine.
I use a general purpose garden fertiliser. Would appreciate some advice. Thank you.

Hi Mavis, It sounds like your soil needs some major freshening up. The best way to do this is with Natural products to encourage worm activity. Good Compost, sheep pellets, organic fertilisers like Compost tea, Fish fertilisers, Seaweed fertiliser. Dig this in and let the soil rest and maybe repeat, try to avoid using powder fertiliser in vege gardens as they tend to kill worms, which are essential for healthy soils.

Thanks the Palmers Team
