We purchased a Sweet Johnny Nashi Reddy Robin 2 seasons ago.. Told it was self fertilizing and a upright almost single trunk Tree. Sadly was away when we had some extreme winds in Kaiapoi after Christmas and although well attched the main stem snapped
continue question. Is it worth saving this tree.. Growth is up from base of trunk and it flowered well this season.. We have an apple tree beside Sweet Johnny but quessing that no good for fruiting. Help.. Its such a healthy tree.
Hi Kay, I am thinking that it snapped of at the graft, meaning that all this lovely healthy growth is the root stock, which will not give you any fruit and unfortunately will have to replace it with a new Sweet Johnny. Thanks the Palmers Team
