Hi there
Purchased two whisteria vines to put either side of our front door pergola.
One simply has not grown at all and has been in for 2-3 months now.
The other started great and grew like crazy (which is what we wanted) as wanted the two plants to grow up n over the pergola.
But all of a sudden it seems to have stopped growing and the leaves are turning yellow. Have sprayed it over the 3 months with insect remover as tiny holes appeared on the leaves. I should stress I’m a total newbe to gardening so wondered if there is something obvious that I’m doing wrong.
Many thanks
Helen

Hi Helen, You are not doing anything wrong. The Wisteria is a deciduous climber so it will lose its leaves over the winter months (hence the leaves now turning yellow before falling of) It is a shame that one off them hasn’t taken off as quickly as the other, it’s hard to know why as they normally get a burst of growth over the autumn months, however as long as the branches are not dying there is little you can/should do. Fingers crossed it will settle in over winter and burst into new growth in spring.
