Hi
I purchased a number of trees for our new house/section about two years ago. Everything has grown well, however, on returning from a month’s holiday we have noticed a white sticky substance on some of our trees. In particular, a small lemon tree and some pittosporum golf ball trees. A photo of the substance is attached.
I’ve tried googling it but can’t seem to find a lot. Are you able to tell me what it might be and how I should treat it?
Kind regards,
Julie

Hi Julie, It sounds like a woolly Aphid you will need to spray with Enspray oil at least 2-3 times to break through the white sticky stuff and then to kill the Aphid hiding under it.
Thanks the Palmers Team
