We moved into our new house at the end of last year and have planted feijoas as a hedge along one side of our property. Unfortunately we didn’t realise it would get zero sun over the winter months, but very sunny over summer. Will our plants survive? Or is there something we can do to help them during the winter months?
Thanks,
Anna

Hi Anna,

The Feijoa trees will have no problem surviving the winter in these conditions. They do not do much growing over the winter months.

Bulk up the soil with compost and fertiliser and come spring the Feijoa trees should get off to a good start with a burst of growth.

Good Luck
