Hi I need some advice please. I purchased a Tamarinda from your Plimmerton outlet on the 6 April and followed the instructions regarding planting in semi shade etc and removed some of the flowers to avoid stressing the plant. For the first 2 1/2 weeks it was looking great and then we had a cold snap. During the last 10 days it has completely collapsed and looks to be dyeing off. When I originally planted it I watered it well and then followed up with watering about 4-5 days later then again about 6 days later.
I am not sure if it is dyeing or if it it will regenerate again come spring. Can you please advise
Thanks
Melanie

I have a client asking for a miniature Aspen or Maple Tree – max height 2 mtrs.
I’m also interested in smaller varieties of Native Trees. I’d like to know more so I can make informed suggestions to clients.
Really appreciate any information you have and what you may have in stock.

I have a two year old dwarf feijoa which has just produced its first fruit. Recently the leaves of one quadrant of the tree which faces east have turned yellow and are starting to fall. The rest of the tree looks very healthy. There is no visible insect infestation as far as I can tell and it does get sprayed when I treat several citrus in the same area. I have given liquid fertiliser to the root area and canopy over the past couple of weeks but cannot see any marked improvement.

Hi, can you please advise if I should trim long shooting branches to the size if the rest of the tree. My lemon tree has a couple of long reaching young branches and the rest of the branches are all about the same smaller size, it’s like I have 2 rogue branches!

Hi

I am not sure when to prune my hibiscus plants I only want them about a meter tall but they keep flowering.Usually you wait for the flowering to stop.

When we first got our lime we grew it in a large pot and got a few lines off it. As time went by it got quite large so we planted it in the garden. No limes since. What would you recommend. Cut the tree out and start again and keep in a pot. Or cut this one back and repot and hope for the best.
Thanks

Hi team
I purchased one of your plum trees 3/4 months ago for around $22. After planting it seemed to shut down then started sprouting from the base. I removed the sprouts but now there is nothing to determine if it is alive or dead as absolutely no foliage is present?
Please could you advise me on what I could do to possibly revive my omega plum dream?
Thank you
Francie

Hi there

We have purchased a farm with an older weatherboard cottage which is getting a good birthday as its a bit run down. We will be renting out the property and I want to plant some speciman trees as the property is currently very bare. Just wanting some ideas – something that looks good, is easy to care for – we are located in Tirau – so a few frosts in the winter and generally pretty warm dry summers. Want something that is fairly quick growing, can provide a bit of shade (but not too big either) and something that looks good year round.

Thanks
Cathy 🙂

Hi guys,

I purchased these two plants on Friday and repotted them since then I have noticed they have a white fuzzy growth. I have photos to show you however I do not know how to send them.

If you could email me back and I can send through the photos.

Thanks
Natasa

The leaves on my rhododendron have all turned brown after lack of water over dry summer and there is no sign of green growth. Can I assume it’s dead and pull it out or is there any possibility it could still be alive? What about cutting it right back to see what happens — and if so how far? Many thanks for your advice here
