Come and join us for a day together with Te Motu Kairangi - Miramar Ecological Restoration and learn more about gardening for our native wildlife.
While we will be talking all sorts of native animals, we will however focus a bit more about some our less known wildlife inhabiting our gardens and backyards.
Meet some of our volunteers as we talk about everything from weta to stick insects, praying mantises and our beautiful native butterflies and even some of our prehistoric living fossils, the Peripatus or velvet worms.
We will showcase some of our native plants that many of our native wildlife depends on and how to make our gardens more wildlife friendly for many of our less known invertebrates.
You may even meet some of our invertebrates if you are lucky.
