Pea Somerwood is excellent in flavour and disease resistance. An excellent source of vitamins A, C and folate and for best flavour pick when young and tender, then every 3-4 days.
Sow Autumn through to Spring but avoid flowering during frost periods. Prepare flat trenches 15cm wide and 5cm deep. Plant seeds in zigzag fashion along the middle of the trench allowing 5cm between each seed. Fill trench with soil and firm down gently.
Keep well watered. Choose a sunny position with well prepared rich soil. Seedlings emerge 7-10 days.
